Disclaimer — Not Legal Advice (Draft)
What VariationGuard does and does not do. Please read this carefully.
Commercial administration help, not legal advice
VariationGuard helps you prepare draft commercial administration documents. It is not legal advice, and it is not a substitute for advice from a qualified lawyer or other professional adviser.
What VariationGuard does not do
- It does not provide legal advice.
- It does not determine your legal entitlement.
- It does not guarantee payment or approval.
- It does not guarantee compliance with every subcontract.
- It does not send any notice automatically — sending is always a manual step you take.
What you must do
- Review your subcontract and the relevant facts.
- Review and edit every document the Service generates before relying on or sending it.
- Seek legal or other professional advice where needed, especially for disputes, adjudication or security-of-payment matters.
Drafts may contain errors
Automated assessments and drafts may contain errors, omissions or misclassifications. Treat them as starting points for your own review, not as final or authoritative documents.
Time-bars and deadlines
Time-bar and deadline calculations are based on the subcontract data you configure and may be incomplete. For example, public holidays are not currently accounted for. Always confirm critical deadlines against your actual subcontract.
Cost workbook
The cost workbook is a commercial calculation aid. It is not quantity surveying, tax or accounting advice. Check your own figures and obtain professional advice where appropriate.
